PETER MILWID: We practice bankruptcy law because we like to help people. Milwid and Schlosser was established 21 years ago, and when my partner and I got together and made a commitment to helping people relieve their debts and obtain a discharge in bankruptcy.

CHUCK SCHLOSSER: Our firm is a little bit different than other firms in, in Denver in the sense that we really try to make sure that our clients understand exactly how their bankruptcy is going to work. Unlike other firms that may attempt to minimize the amount of contact they have with the clients, we want to make sure that our clients understand exactly how the process is going to unfold for them.

PETER MILWID: Bankruptcies can be caused by many factors and many life events. Almost all bankruptcies contain some of these factors and they are things that happen to everyone we know. And they include unemployment problems, health problems, problems with a child or an elderly parent, divorces, real estate problems and problems with a small business. And when these problems overwhelm your life, bankruptcy is an excellent solution financially to discharge the debt and obtain a fresh start.
